The Art Hall is very excited to announce our next exhibition, SideStories, which I curated and which will open on June 9th. It is going to be a beautiful and strong show of work by a diverse group of twelve women artists, all from Oklahoma. There is a thematic undercurrent of storytelling among much of the work, and as a curator I aimed to include artists whose voices, or stories, may be underrepresented in some way. Hence the name SideStories - stories from the sidelines.
The opening will be Friday, June 9th, from 5:30-9pm, and we will have a performance at 7pm by Marie Casimir. The show will be on view through September. As usual, we'll have local folks do drinks etc.
